US Biologic Senior Scientist
US BIOLOGIC focuses on reducing disease through a range of products and services with a focus on orally delivered vaccines. The Senior Scientist will focus on one or more scientific projects within our orally delivered vaccines and antimicrobial alternative portfolio. The Senior Scientist will utilize their unique and advanced skillset in microbiology / vaccinology / immunology, to ensure the highest integrity and research standards to advance this novel technology. The Senior Scientist will be able to conduct research independently and work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) in managing the research projects, the team, grant writing, and reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
- PhD in immunology, microbiology, or vaccinology, with significant hands-on experience with in vitrowork, as well as in vivo work.
- 2+ relevant years of work experience post-PhD completion.
- Demonstrated success working in a focused and collaborative environment.
- Experience working within a project-oriented matrixed team environment preferred.
- Experience working in a GLP environment is preferred.
- Vaccine or drug development experience is preferred.
- Proven performance in earlier role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead study design and work closely with the CSO to ensure company goals are met.
- Actively work together with team members in the lab to successfully complete a project.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of protocols and ensure protocols are followed
- Ensure all IACUC and IBC protocols are up to date and all staff is trained accordingly.
- Work closely with US Biologic regulatory, quality assurance, and quality control groups.
- Present and publish results internally / externally and apply for funding.
Location and Travel:
- The US Biologic HQ and laboratories are located in Memphis. No significant travel is anticipated.
